03/25/21. St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Weston, WV has announced a series of Easter Services for 2021, with both in-person and online options. Below is the schedule of services being offered, followed by more details for your convenience. We look forward to worshipping with you in the days ahead.

All but the Sunrise Service will be at St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
Maundy Thursday – This service will be online only at 7 pm. It will also be available on Sermon-by-Phone (304-269-3437) shortly after 8 PM. We will adapt hand or foot washing to a personal washing, so to participate, you will want to have a small bowl of water and towel on hand. You will also want to have on hand a piece of bread and a small glass of water as we will celebrate a love feast as part of this service.
Good Friday – This service will be offered in person and online at 7 p.m. It will also be available on Sermon-by-Phone (304-269-3437) shortly after 8 p.m. Please call the church office on Thursday or Friday to RSVP. We will accept as many as we are able. If you are comfortable with being in a space socially distanced, wearing a mask, and desire to attend, but hesitate because you wish to make room for another, please call and let us know (304-269-2428). We are willing and happy to arrange additional service(s) for earlier in the day.
Easter Sunrise – The Sunrise Service will be held at the Lewis County Park off Smith Run Road. This will be a drive-in service. We will use a low-wattage FM transmitter so that you may enjoy the service from your vehicle. You will need to tune your radio to 88.5 on your FM dial. We suggest that folk remain in your vehicles as we are still practicing physical distancing and mask wearing as urged and recommended by our County Health Department, the Governor’s Office, and our West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is my prayer that all of you will come to greet the rising of the sun as we celebrate our Risen Savior!
Easter Morning Services – These services will be offered in person at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and online at 10:30 a.m. Again, we ask that you RSVP for the service you wish to attend. And, as above: If you are comfortable with being in a space socially distanced, wearing a mask, and desire to attend, but hesitate because you wish to make room for another, please call and let us know (304-269-2428). We are willing and happy to arrange additional service(s) for later in the day.
