03/24/21. In-Person Worship Services at St. Matthew UMC in Weston are moving forward very well. On Sun., Mar. 14, St. Matthew held its first set of two in-person services since last year, and it was a huge success. So, much so, that two services were also held on Mar. 21 and, will again, occur this weekend on Mar. 28.
With the attendance limit increased to 31 per service, up from 25, those interested in attending are now able to reserve their seats by calling the church office on the Thursday or Friday prior to the service. Previously, the RSVP day was designated on Thursdays only–now members have two days to decide to attend, giving everyone more flexibility.
Our church’s Re-Launch Team has been working very hard on keeping up with guidelines and making continued adjustments along the way. A big thank you goes out to everyone that contributes to this ongoing project.
Two services will continue to be held–an Early Worship Service and the regular Sunday Morning Worship Service. The early service begins at 9 a.m. and the regular service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The 9 a.m. Early Worship Service will NOT be streamed online.
The 10:30 a.m. Sunday Morning Worship Service will continue to be streamed online.
The live stream can be viewed from Facebook on either Pastor Jim Martin’s page or the St. Matthew United Methodist Church page, and additionally, available here on our website along with past archived services.
To participate in our in-person services, there are some things you need to be aware of.
You must reserve your seat. You can reserve your seat by calling the church office at 304-269-2428 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the Thursday or Friday prior to the service you wish to attend.
Guidelines remain in place. While things are somewhat getting back to normal, safety guidelines will continue to be followed during all church activities. This means wearing masks, social distancing, temperature checks and previous guidelines that were established earlier by the Re-Launch Team. For more information on these particular guidelines, please consult the church office.

We appreciate your patience as we attempt to move forward with in-person services with your safety as a top priority. We ask that you please continue to afford us patience and understanding with these updates, as this still remains a very fluid situation.
God bless you all and we look forward to worshipping with you in person or online.
Peace be with you.
