Annual Conference Registration is now CLOSED
Participation on Thursday, June 3 and Friday, June 4 is online. On Saturday, June 5, the business session will happen through a combination of in-person and online participation. Members who registered had an opportunity to express a preference for either in-person or online attendance. Due to evolving health guidelines, seating will be limited. Members who registered for in-person participation will be contacted in May to be informed if their preference can be accommodated.
All who registered by April 16 will receive credentials and will have voice and vote, no matter their form of participation. There will be no opportunity for last-minute or onsite registration this year. Any member not registered by the April 16 deadline will be able to observe via Livestream, along with other nonvoting participants.
Clergy Session will take place on Friday, June 4, at 10:00, via webinar. Registration information will be sent to clergy in full connection and all clergy under appointment at a later time. The service of Ordination, Commissioning, and Recognition of Licensing on Sunday, June 6, will be in-person for those involved in the service. Other in-person attendance will be by invitation. All others are invited to participate via Livestream.
All Laity Invited to 2021 Laity Session
The 2021 Laity Session will be offered virtually by zoom webinar on Sunday, May 23 at 3:00 pm. All laity of the West Virginia Conference are invited to participate. Laity will meet members of the Conference Lay Leadership Team, learn more about the 2021 Annual Conference, hear about opportunities for laity to be involved in various ways in their local church and throughout the Conference, and more. Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball and Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi have both accepted the Lay Ministry Team’s invitation to speak at the Laity Session.
Registration is required in advance to receive the zoom link for the meeting. Participants may join by computer or by phone. To register, follow this link. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email.
The 2021 Session brings together laypersons committed to fulfilling the mission and ministry of the church as we share Christ’s love with others and work to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Laity and Clergy Voting Members Invited to Webinar on Proposed Health Plan Changes
Voting members of the 2021 WV Annual Conference are invited, and encouraged, to attend a Zoom webinar on Thursday, May 6 at 6:15 pm to review this year’s health insurance recommendation. Members of the Board of Pensions will be presenting the recommendation and explaining the reasons for the change.
