The Times They Are a-Changin’

06/13/21. Prayer shawl. Communion. Day camps. Choir rehearsals. Women’s Group news. Men’s Group news. Our Neighbor updates. Bible studies. Bible School. Service Times. And, much, much more to come! It’s all a-changin’. And, things are looking very bright and exciting!

As we all move forward into a positive light, many things at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Weston, WV are beginning to return to normal–at least a sort of normalcy from what we can all remember, that is.

With so many things beginning to start back up again, it is our mission to keep everyone as up to date as possible. In addition to the paper newsletters that we mail out, and the periodical calls and emails we send, we ask that you please check in periodically on our website for important updates, current news, events, and the assortment of other fine details that are published in real time.

While we do make “marketing” posts on Facebook with constant updates, it is our goal to utilize our website for a complete collection of organized and easy-to-find detailed information regarding the latest St. Matthew UMC news—sort of a one-stop shop for all you need to know. Additionally, if you ever want something to be published like a special event, notice, etc., please let us know and we will be happy to help assist with your request.

The COVID-19 pandemic completely changed the world. And, we have been very grateful for the opportunity afforded us in attaining the tools, technology and help from all of the individuals who help contribute their time to make it all work. Thank you so much to everyone that helps makes this happen.

Just as Pastor Jim Martin prominently noted today in his sermon, let’s not forget his enlightening message that “Jesus has always been here.” He has helped guide us in different ways during these trying times to help spread the hope, love and faith of our Christian beliefs and values. We are very thankful for all of this.

And, we will continue to help spread that message, on every platform we have access to. So, again, please continue to check in once in a while on our website for the latest updates on all things a-changin’ at St. Matthew!

God Bless.
