The Celebration of Mission Event (COME) 2024 will be held at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Weston, WV on Sat., Apr. 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Lewis County Cooperative Parish invites you to a hymn sing.
We are gathering in fellowship to support our West Virginia Conference’s Celebration of Mission Event. Hear our choirs sing. Sing your favorite hymns. Participate in silent auctions to help raise funds for our designated missions for themed baskets such as:
- Movie Night
- Car Wash
- WVU Stuff, etc.
After the Sing, you are invited to stick around for a St. Matthew Free Community Meal featuring Soup Beans and Cornbread!
Please look over the “Needs” for each of our designated missions. You are welcomed but not required to bring any items with you to the Hymn Sing. The Parish Coordinator will make arrangements to deliver collected items to their respective missions. Your presence and Christ-led participation alone will make a difference in another’s life.

MISSION AND MINISTRY
Scott’s Run Settlement House provides basic necessities to those in need in Monongalia County. The Food Pantry, Backpack Feeding Program, Baby Pantry, and Seasonal Outreach programs allow us to provide for those most in need.

We offer a state licensed childcare and after-school program for youth ages two through twelve providing children with a safe and nurturing environment where learning can be fun and free. We help children grow in self-esteem and in their relationships with others. We offer quality programs and services, to assist children in reaching their fullest developmental potential.
