The Baptism of the Lord is a perfect time to remind ourselves of the commitment to living a life of grace and hope outwardly.  This series is designed to help us see the kin-dom of God lived out in concrete ways within the body of Christ.  So, this week is the promise to be that example, to claim that grace and gift, and to embrace the responsibility of being the church in the world right now.  The kin-dom is not a someday thing; it is a today thing and we are committing ourselves to that vision right here and right now.
